Commercial fitted furniture & joinery
We have a wealth of experience of working in the commercial sector with interior designers, independent architectural practices, corporate in-house design teams and large contractors. The contracts we undertake range from a few thousand pounds to hundreds of thousands of pounds. Work completed in the past includes reception desks, exhibition stands, external and internal joinery, shop fits, kitchens, free standing furniture, fitted furniture and even super yachts.
Contemporary or traditional
We are used to incorporating a wide variety of materials including metal, glass, plastics, leather, fabric and stone into our work. As such we have built up an extensive working relationship with a number of local, national and international suppliers for these materials and can source or help advise clients on the use of these materials within contemporary joinery and cabinetry.
Similarly, modern commercial work often includes electronics, AV, high tech lighting, lifting gear for LCD panels, air con units, fridges, plumbing and the like. Our experience in this area means that not only are we used to incorporating these requirements we are also used to working with the respective suppliers to make the build and fit as painless as possible when on site.
Where we can add real value
We know that often designers and architects are concerned with the overall design but simply do not have enough time to look at the detail of construction. We can help by advising on this detail and make recommendations that accentuate the design or reduce the costs. For example, if required we can review the drawings to identify what economies can be made in the specification that don’t impact the overall design or ergonomics. As we usually mock up the build on a one to one basis in the workshop we can also identify any construction issues when they are still easy to remedy.
Delivery on time, on budget and to specification
We know that one of the biggest issues on commercial work is the need to be able to deliver on time, on budget and to specification. We always survey the site fully before we build, we usually pre-construct the build in our workshop and we manufacture the units with site fitting in mind. We will agree a date for delivery and fit and we will not take on the work unless we are sure we can achieve that date. If the date has to change for whatever reason we will not charge for storage of the units and we will always endeavour to meet the new date even if it means working overnight or weekends and we will not charge extra for that either.
Guarantees
We guarantee all our work for twelve months for workmanship and materials on commercial work. We will always provide protection for our work on sites but we know that accidents sometimes happen and our cabinets might get damaged after fitting. If the damage is repairable on site we will always try and repair it for free.
How to work with us
If you already have a project why not send us the drawings and we will be happy to provide a quotation for you. We can work from sketches or detailed CAD drawings. If you would like us to come out and visit you to discuss a project just give us a call. It is often useful to discuss any work on the site as it gives us a better feel for any idiosyncrasies that might exist.
Alternatively, if you would like to actually view our work in person we can usually arrange for you to visit one of our completed sites or one mid-construction. Again just give us a call to arrange.
Lastly, if you are down in the area or just fancy a trip into the beautiful Dorset countryside why not pop in and visit us? You can have a look round our yard, see some examples of work in progress and sample the delights of the White Hart pub just up the road from us.
Need some help?
We know that many designers and architects (and not just new ones) require help and advice sometimes. We are happy to help where we can even if it has nothing to do with us doing any work for you. In our work we come across many people, designs and technology and if you have a problem you think we might be able to help with please give us a call. Even if we cannot help you we may know someone who might.
