Our environmental and social policy
We believe strongly that our business should benefit the local community and environment.
On the environmental side we source all timbers and board materials where possible from sustainable sources. We also complete annual CO2 audits and have active plans to reduce our CO2 emissions even as our business grows. We have already reduced our waste output and brought in recycling for all useable waste produced.
In the longer term we want to design a business that is, as far as possible, completely sustainable and carbon neutral.
Health & Safety
Although health and safety is often much maligned we are strong believers that our work environment should be as risk free as possible. Woodworking is an inherently risky occupation but with thorough training and controls we aim to reduce that risk as far as possible. We commission audits every year to review our progress in this area.
Our community
We are a key employer in our local community. With that comes a responsibility to support our local community. We do this by sourcing as much as we can locally and by supporting local charities and societies.
